Hi All,

I have what seems to me a very simple problem, I just can't work it out! I'm very new to Access, and many of the forums/advice I've read through is WAY over my head. So if there is an answer, I might need it dumbing down!

So, I'm in Access 2007. I have a nice little table, and a 'Query by Form' scenario that I worked out how to do by following a tutorial. However, the one thing that I can't work out how to achieve (or if its possible?!) is how to get the answer/result from the query back into the same form (in a textbox or a list box, whatever). The query spits out one or a few 'single words'.

Is it possible to set a control in a form to be the result of a query based on input from the same form (i.e. after the submit button has been clicked)??

Any help appreciated.

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Welcome to the forums! Seems like me and you are in pretty much the same boat with this problem:

...how to get the answer/result from the query back into the same form (in a textbox or a list box......

This is my last major hurdle and I hope for both our sakes we can find the simple answer soon! :)

Check out my Thread "Using Dlookup and Dcount Templates" in the "query" section of the forum for any updates. We may have different issues entirely, but as of now it seems we're similar in this respect.
