Hello,

If any of you can help with the following query, i'd be most grateful as I'm new to access.

I've got a database which logs and tracks calls coming into the building on a daily basis.

On an average day, the same customer may ring more than once.

So when I enter their name on the entry screen I would like (if possible) for a number to appear next to their name. The number being the number of times they have called that day.

Is this possible ?

I'd appreciate any help you can offer on this one, even if not a full solution,

Natasha.

You could use the DCount() Function in the After Update of the event where you enter the customers name to update an unbound field in the form. I assume that each customer has a unique ID and that each time he/she calls that that record is automatically date stamped with the current date. If the above is true then code similar to this should work:

Me.UndboundField = DCount("[DateStampField]", "TableName", "[ID] = " & Me.ID & " And [DateStampField] = #" & Date & "#")
