I'm pretty much a noob to visual basic, I've only taken C++ so I dont really know VB language. ok here is my question... I have a form and I added a drop down list through a table. What I want it to do is output into another text box within the same form when an item in the drop down list is selected. I think I have to make an event procedure for the "On Click" or "On Got Focus" selection. please help me out !!

Set the combo box to after update:

Me!cmb_box1 = Me!txt_box1

This will place whatever value you have selected in your combo box into the text box. Is that what you want?

so if my cmb box is named 'cboAccounts' and my text box is 'txtDescription' the code will look like this...?
*******************************
Private Sub cboAccounts_AfterUpdate()

Me!cboAccounts = Me!txtDescription

End Sub
*****************************

thanks for the help!! let me know if thats right because it isn't working for some reason.

They're reversed; the target should be first, the source second.

Ooops, you're right, I guess I was too tired to write code. :D

Sorry for any confusion I caused.
