Hello All

I have created a form and when I look at it in form view, there is a black line mid way across the form and I have to scroll to look at what is under the line. How do I get rid of the line so I can use the whole form as it appears on the screen?

As it is now, the portion of the form underneath the black line is blank and a waste of space.

Thanks for your help.

What can you see in design view? form headers/footers/detail is all your form in the detail section? have you "sized" your form accordingly?

Not everthing is taken care of when you design a form in access it is up to you to make the form "as you want people to see it" so have a play with borders spacing etc....

Thanks for the speedy reply.

When I look at it in design view, there isn't the black line.

But the line is there in form view and the bottom half of the page is wasted space. If I could move the line down or get rid of it altogether, I could use all of the space for the form.

Any thoughts?

In your form properties set Dividing Lines to No. Also, to view what the user will see do not have any formatting etc. toolbars displayed.

Thanks, Poppa Smurf

The database is at work and I am off until Tuesday. I will try your suggestion and will get back to you next week.

Have a great weekend and thanks for your help.

Hi Poppa Smurf

That worked....it got rid of the dividing line but the view of the form is the same. I can still only see the top quarter portion of the form with all of this blank space underneath.

There is more form I would like to display, but there must be another property I have to change to get the bottom 3/4 of the screen to show the fields, not blank space.

Any ideas?

Appreciate you continued help.

Any chance you can attach a copy of the database hard to tell without seeing what you have done?

Have a look at the size of your Form Header and Footer, also, your Page Header and Footer.

I am going to try what PoppaSmurf says (he's always been right so far). If that doesn't work, I will try to send a copy.

Thanks for all of your help.
