Hi . I need to have a single form , or nested subforms for data entry. The proble is the main form requires information from 2 other forms, and these forms in turn require information from other primary key fields. I know its basic form design, but i just cant seem to get my head around it. Any ideas?

What I believe you are describing is probably easy to do. You do need to understand that "Forms" do not contain any data. Forms are simply a window into the data in your tables. A query can put several tables together to give you a view of exactly the fields in the tables you need if there is a reasonable relationship between the tables. Now that you have done a good job of describing your tables you will need to be a little more specific on the requirements of the data entry form.

This is a little vague on what this form is for, so I will assume somethings. The main form, I would make the Vehicle data and then I would have three tab controls, each with a subform on them, VehicleTire, VehicleCheck and TireCheck. Now you could also use three cmdButtons, each opening a different form, also. Also make four simple, what I call maintainance forms, for Make, Tires, Types and Locations. This open independentally. I hope I made this clear enough for you. hth.

Okay, what i basically need is a a way of giving me the best tyres , based on readings from different intervals taken of each fleet, i.e the best performers.
I need a way of grouping my data correctly, and this is where i seem to be getting confused, i keep getting errors telling me the table isn't in the 'recordset'.
In essence, what i need is data entry forms to take in data of each tyre beloning to each fleet at each interval the tests are completed on the fleet of vehicles, and over a period of months determine which tyres are the best.
I'm getting tired of trying to put forms together and getting nowhere, so any help will be greatly appreciated.
PS I'm a beginner!

You were asking for help on a form. A form, like Ruralguy said, is for creating, modifing, view and deleting records in a table. Now what you are saying sound more like a report, which will be based on a query and grouped by the query. So a this point in time, just decide what you want the form to look like and have in it. Don't worry about the reports yet, just get the forms, maintainance and main, with subforms working first. Personally I always start the the maintance tables first, they are the easiest. Here is a sample of one of my maintanance forms, look at it, closely, there are some cute tricks in it. hth.
