Form no longer gives 'new form' option

My 2010 access database is no longer allowing me to create a new form. This option has now been greyed out. Everything else seems to be working fine. I have used the 'compact & repair' option, but this has made no difference. Does anyone have any idea as to what may be wrong?

thanks John. Unfortunatley I could not execute the creating a new database steps. Just would not work for some reason. However, on the up side someone visiting my office was able to fix my problem.
What I needed to do was to go into 'design view' of the form, click into poperties and go into 'All' then selected Record source and deleted the extra fields that had somehow gotten in there. Not sure how it happen but I have multiple users and the blasted thing is forever becoming corrupted for one reason or another.
