I'm working on a database at the moment for my dad, and what I'm in the process of doing is making a form in the Forms section of Access 2003 that I can then introduce as a subform in a larger report etc used to make a quotation for a number of products as the end result.
What I'm aiming for in this certain subform is the following, excuse the basic layout but its hard to draw...
-------------OPEN FORM HEADER-------------
Product ID Product Title Product Description Quantity Sale Price
-------------DETAIL------------
Product ID Product Title Product Description Quantity Sale Price
My point is that in the detail, I want this form to be added to a larger form and then use it to select products for the quote. The thing is a quote may contain anywhere from 2 products to 20, such is the variety and I need some assistance in how to set this up to work properly so that when I select the Product ID (As a combo box that also shows its title), it fills in the title, description and then based on the quantity it calculates the price at the end.
The Product ID comes from "Tbl Products", as do the Product Title and Product Description and the Sale Price, and the quantity is just say 1,2,3 which then multiplies by its normal price for one to make a total.
Any help much appreciated, I probably havent explained myself too well so I can try again if thats neccessary.
