Form.Recalc Saves the Record? (1 Viewer)

I'm using Access 2003.

In the AfterUpdate event of a checkbox control on a subform, I have the following code:

Me.Recalc

This line seems to cause the entire form to save (or at least it causes the form's BeforeUpdate event to fire). Is this behaviour expected? I don't see this mentioned in Microsoft's documentation.

I wouldn't have expected it either but I can confirm your experience. It sure does that. I find Microsoft's documentation wanting in several area. It sure would be nice to know what errors built-in procedures can raise for example.
