Hello to the forum from an occasional user of 2010 to display historical records.
Minor irritation only ...but....
With a number of single forms open to edit data I have a preferred sequence of form tabs showing caption.
As this is all a work in progress I still need to make design changes.
But if I revise a form in design view and have to revise a subform I am forced to close and reopen which detroys the preferred sequence from left to right.
Have tried Mrs G but everything is about control tab sequence not form caption tabs.
Is it possible to set an order or sequence similar to the usual control tab sequence ?

Sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about or who Mrs G is?
Have you copied this post from another forum?

Google - so that someone would not say "have you google this first?"
And have searched on this forum before asking.
No, not just copied. Tyuped by fingers.
Single forms have a tab at the top with form caption.
Editable via Properties/Caption.
So multiple single forms display as a sequence of form tabs along top with current one visible effectively as an overlay to the others.

I think the order they appear in is determined by the order they are opened in ?
Unless you have absolute control over that you may well be stuck.

I think most developers tend to prefer the floating window approach because of this, it's easier to make sure the forms you want on top are on top.

That appears to be the case, and you cannot drag them to a different order, or at least I could not.

Righty ho then.
Will make a loading form for the sequence and just restart every time.
When any old web browser can move pages it seems odd that the "flagship" MS thing cannot.
EDIT = second thoughts. Will add command buttons to the principle and just show/hide so the sequence matters not.
Floating forms could get lost in my mess !
EDIT END
Over and out.

The other option is to use a main form with tabs on it containing the forms you want as Sub Forms - the only caveat being that navigation around things can get a little contrived.
