Any quick ways either to convert a form to a report or to print a form as on the screen?

If you mean convert a form to a report and make it appear exactly as it looks on the screen then I don't believe this is possible, unless anyone else here knows differenltly. You can arrange the report to have a similar layout to the form upon designing it but nothing that I know of that will automatically take the layout of your form to a report.

You can print a form by placing a command button on your form and using the wizard, select print form and this will do what you require, however forms are not really meant for printing. Forms are meant for user interaction and displaying information while reports are your best option for printing.

The quickest method if you want your report to have the same layout as the form is to have both open in design view (the report should have the same record source as the form or the next bit won't work, and the report should be blank, i.e. no fields on it yet).

THEN select all the fields on the form that you need in one go(shift+click) and then go to the report and just paste. The layout of the fields will be intact but you might need to fiddle around with headers footers and groupings. All-in-all that's the best way I've found so far, but Hayley's right there is no automatic way to do this - damn you Bill Gates ;)

PS - If Microsoft is SOOO compatible with itself then why is it that when I export a report to Word do all the lines, shading and other formatting turn to rat sh!t. Bill you've got a lot to answer for...
