I have a main form where the form record property is set to

Allow Deletions: No

I then have a subform, but I do not want it to inherit the permissions of the main form. Basically I can't delete on the subform either???

I've managed 2 seperate properties in subforms... i assume as they're 2 seperate forms then it shouldn't matter.

How are you trying to delete records in the subform and what error are you getting, if any?

In the subform I go to Edit > Delete Record but it is grayed out

So your users will have access to the standard menus? You should really do your own menus and hide the standard ones. You can have a command button on the subform that deletes the current record.

Sorry, was me being stupid. It was working. I just got confused with some test data
