Hi There,

I have a question for you all.

I have a Access Form witch has some information about persons (adress, city, country, etc). On this form I want to create a button to export the data (of the record the user has selected on the form) to a simple word document.

What is the best way to do this? And can it also be done with a word template?

With kind regards,

Joost

I'm just a beginner so may have this the wrong way round but the only way I've ever been able to effectively draw from Access into Word is by doing it from within Word. You can use the same VB code from within Word and create a document (use bookmarks and form fields) which draws on an Access database.

Sorry if I've got this totally wrong, just speaking from my own (very limited!) experience! :o

Elyisum, it sounds like you're trying to do some sort of mail merge? Both Word and Access have mail merge functions, and Microsoft has some instructions on how to automate that in this article if you want to put a big, fat button on your form. Hope that helps!
