Form won't open when other user is in it

A strange one. Shared front/end back/end database on network. 2 users. User1's PC is also the file server.

When a front-end is first used and user2 tries to open a form. The form will not open if user1 has that form open on their system - the system hangs until user1 closes the form, thus allowing user2 to access the form.

This only happens the first time, from then on both users can access the form at any time.

Sounds like User1 is opening the db for exclusive use.

Open shared, OR give each User their own Front-end db.
