Format for Fiscal Year

Greetings,

Using Access 97, SR2.

I have a query and a report that lists employees with college degrees.

The criteria is that the degree was completed sometime during:
A. The current fiscal year (10/01/2001 - 09/30/2002)
B. The previous fiscal year (10/01/2000 - 09/30/2001)
C. Show all for current and previous fiscal year.

In the report, I would like for the field DateComp (Date Completed) to show the appropriate Fiscal Year (FY); example: any date that falls between 10/01/00 and 09/30/02 would be FY01.

Use the following expression to determine the fiscal year, can be changed to suit any year by changing the 10 to the start month for the year division required.

IIf(Month([date1])<10,Year([date1])-1,Year([date1]))

If you want it formatted as FY01 then use the following
"FY" & Right(IIf(Month([date1])<10,Year([date1])-1,Year([date1])),2)
