Hi everyone

I have been through the forums about subforms and there has been this question asked in other posts but no answer ever. I have attached a microsoft word map of what I am trying to achieve with my database.

I have probably got most of it up and running except the subforms.

I want to enter into a field on the main form of the Repair Register and then the sub form automatically display the details for that particular Client or Repairer (See Map). I have created the main form and started to put one of the sub forms on there.

What I have ended up with is a sub form that seems to be controlling what records I can view. I have created the repairer sub form and the whole form is now only displaying all the records under one particular repairer ID. I don't want this to happen I want the main form to be the main source of data and the sub form to just display the info so the user can check they have entered the correct ID.

Does this make sense? I don't know I am confused myself I think.

Please note, I do not want the users to be entering in any data to either of the sub forms I only want them there as a reference!

Any help that might detangle my confusion would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Jodi

May need more info on how you get the info into the tables, but here is a couple of ways of viewing it.
