forms based on a query

Hi

I am wondering why you would use a query as the record source in s form and not a table?

could someone just clarify this for me - or point to where i could read up on this to uderstand it better.

Another quick one - when for eg. i have two table linked - do i select the foreign key in the main table or can i select the fields in the linked table now thy are linked?
