So I have a form which has a combo box linked to another bunch of text boxes.

When I select a piece of info from the combo box, the other text boxes are populated with the information from the table regarding the selection.

There isn't a problem with the boxes being populated, but whatever selection that I make, it always shows the first of its kind. i.e. there are, say 30 selections which contain FRC (FRC-0003, FRC-0106) and regardless of which one I choose, it always shows the name of the first of its kind.

How can I get this to stop happening? Is it simply because I have so many pieces of info (well, there's 330) or has something stupid happened?

If this isn't making sense, please reply and I'll try my best to clarify

So are you saying, for example, that if you select FRC-0106 in the combo box it still displays FRC-0003?

Can you post the SQl of the row source of your combo box?

Well this is a pretty hefty piece of info because of the way I've gone about doing it:

SELECT Q_06_AllLines.Plant, Q_06_AllLines.Tag, Q_06_AllLines.[No], Q_06_AllLines.UniqueID, Q_06_AllLines.EquipmentNo, Q_06_AllLines.Service, Q_06_AllLines.ImpulseLineMaterial, Q_06_AllLines.[P&ID No], Q_06_AllLines.HydrocarbonsPresent, Q_06_AllLines.Traced, Q_06_AllLines.Lagged, Q_06_AllLines.AdditionalAccess, Q_06_AllLines.InstrumentType, Q_06_AllLines.Comments, Q_06_AllLines.RelatedEquipmentLocation, Q_06_AllLines.FolderContainingPhotos, Q_06_AllLines.DateOfInspection, Q_06_AllLines.InsulationAction, Q_06_AllLines.TracingAction, Q_06_AllLines.MaterialAction, Q_06_AllLines.TransitionAction, Q_06_AllLines.DueDateForActionOrReinspection, Q_06_AllLines.AdditionalAccessToBeInstalled FROM Q_06_AllLines ORDER BY Q_06_AllLines.UniqueID;

The way I've gone about showing the info is I've essentially showed all of the columns from the table but their size is set to 0cm apart from the column I want to see which I've set a generic value of 2cm.

The text boxes are then populated by being able to see the specific column from the original combo i.e.

"txtEquipment = cmboID.column(4)" in the AfterUpdate event of the combo

That seems like a lot of data to be displaying via the Column method of a combo box. If you wanted to explain a bit more about what you're trying to accomplish with this, there may be a better way to approach it.

Having said that, I'm still not completely clear what the original problem is, so if you could provide some more details about that and if the combo box is bound/unbound, etc.
