hello

wondering if this is possible

like the old 'frame' style websites.. or for those of you that know.. the overflow feature of a div on the content frame..

is it possible to have the form window open in a specific size..

then have a left frame and frame at the bottom that are in a set position and unscrollable and unremovable..

then have a main content section that scrolls down if needed..

is this possible?

like this..

l main part
e main part
f main part
t bottom

I dunno about having a "frame" on the left side. But, to make the bottom one, make use of the form footer and make sure that you make the forms border style something other than sizeable, auto resize to no, min/max buttons to none. This should make the form stick to a default size, and as long as you make the footer large enough to fit the "bottom frame" content, it won't have scrollbars but the main portion of the form will if the controls are out of view. I know this isn't quite the perfect solution, but I hope it helps you some.

OH! AHA moment! Do what I suggested about the form properties, but don't use the footer. Simply use subforms for your left side frame and your middle information, then create a dividing line to "seperate" your bottom frame. Make sure you make your left subform large enough to accomodate all the controls and no scroll bar will be used. Your middle subform will have scroll bars when the controls do not fit within it. This might be a better solution, take your pick!

yes.. i realised that to have a 'left frame' wasnt really neccessary..

i just used the form header and footer.. and the middle part scrolls like a charm..

thank you.
