I use a button on a main frm to open a second frm which I use occasionally to edit a qry. The I wish to view the frm (Editing one) in Datasheet view. My problem is that I can't get the frm to open as datasheet. I've tried setting the properties to datasheet only + only allow only the datesheet view. Even with this the frm opens as a normal frm. Datasheet allows more data to be viewed & suits my needs better. I can right click & convert the view to datasheet if necessary but obviously do not want to do that. Any ideas on how to open it up as a datasheet?

Look at the options of the OpenForm method. One of them will be what you need.

If you set the form open method in Visual Basic to the following, it should work;

DoCmd.OpenForm "Your Form",acformDS

Thanks for the answer rat_b76 but you gave AN60 a fish rather than teaching him how to fish. It is important that people learn how to look up at least simple things in help. This answer is quite easy to find and should not have been a burden for AN60 to look up. He might also have learned something else along the way by reading the entire help entry.
