Hi All,
I am a newbie to Access 2010 and so far I have learned a LOT, partially to the help of you fine folks . I have built a database, and created a few forms to gather the data. My next task is the reports section which I truly know NOTHING about .
Background: I work on a team of 8 that scores all of our employees based on performance. We collect these scores and put them into the database. Each employee gets a certain amount of evaluations per month based on the group that they are assigned to. Each group has their own table for tracking scores. My team and I track our own progress by seeing how many evaluations we are assigned for the month vs. how many we have completed (percentage). We then compare this percentage to the percentage we should be at based on the day of the month. Ex. If I have 101 evaluations to do for the month, by 11/7, I should be at 25.25% completion. If by the 7th, I only do 14, I am at 13.86% completion and therefore far behind.
I am looking to create a report in Access that shows this information. Ideally, I would like to have a chart, showing total evaluations and the pace on the top (75/100 completed or similar), then another chart with expected pace based on days at the bottom, and maybe a calendar for reference (you should be X% through your evals).
My question is, I'm not certain that this is the intended use for the reports section, nor do I know if what I am looking to do will be possible in Access. I am basically just trying to get some feelers out there to see if this can be done so I don't waste my time trying to figure out how to do something that isn't possible. Of course, if it is possible any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks All!
