I have some reports that open in Priview mode. These reports can have 2000 - 5000 pages. I would like to put something in a custom toolbar so that the print window opens ad the user can select to print just 1 page at a time if needed.
They have runtime so the File menu just has close in it and that's it.
So far the only way to accomplish this is to click CTRL+P but a lot of user dont know this command.
I tryed creating a modual that ran DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdPrint but it just wanted to start printing with out the print window opening.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

Which version of Access are you using as you can add the Print Icon in the preview if you use Custom Toolbars.

So you could literally drag the print Icon into the Preview Icons in your report that would give them the Print Icon which runs the dialog box.

It's Access 97. The print icon just goes stright to trying to print out the report without opening the print window.

Then what you need to do is select to custom menu, and then once done you would click the File Menu navigate down to the print feature and drag that into the place where you need.

OK. I selected the print from the File Menu. Draged it to the existing tool bar and selected it. It still went right to trying to pirnt and did not open the print window.

You might have selected the wrong icon.

It will work as I have done this many times.
