Getting query results into an ADO recordset

Is there a way to get the results of a query into a recordset using ADO?

I've searched the archives here and have come up empty.

I don't know much about using ADO in VBA, but I am pretty sure that in VB you are able to do something along those lines. I think it depends on how it's bound to the table/query or whatever. Someone might be able to answer this better than myself.
