Hello Access World,
My name is Dirk Van Giel. I am Belgian and 52 years of age.
After a 29 years carreer as an software developer on IBM S/38, AS/400 and iSeries I decided to quit the business in november 2010 and move to Costa Rica to live a different life. Unfortunately I had to return to Belgium in July 2012 and now I work for CMA-CGM, a shipping company in Antwerp, where I shall be responsible for the EDI-team.
I used to work with Excel and Access on a modest level but now I would like to learn more and make full use of most of the possibilities of both products. In our company we mainly work with Microsoft Office 2007.
As there is no development done in our office my collegues now rely on me to create new applications using Access and Excel.
I am looking forward to visiting this forum quite often.
