I have been using MS Access since version 97 as an adjunct to my job. Most of my Access work was done in version 2003. Still not 100% comfortable with 2007-2010 versions. I find I use Access less and less, as my job has taken me towards other applications.

I work in a hospital as the "Laboratory Informaticist", which basically means I keep the Lab side of the hospital "cooperative" with all the other hospital modules and that the lab module talks with our analyzers. MS Access is used to help write reports. I extract data from our lab system and then dump it into Access. The report writing tools of our system are OK, but Access report writer is much more robust and easier to use.

In short, I make sure our "computer system talks nicely with other systems and never tells a lie"
