Group or Sum a field (1 Viewer)

I'm very new to Access so please bear with me.

My report is asking for the number of doctor referrals by site from 1/1/09 thru 7/31/09. I'm using Site, Som of RefNo, and RefDate. It displays as Site1, 7 dates (one for each month) with the total # of referrals for each month.

What I wold like to display is the Site, and a total figure for all 7 months. So I need to group or sbtotal the 7 months I asked for. I am really frustrated.

Could someone give me a nudge in the right direction, please?

In the query design, clear the Show checkbox under the RefDate field. The criteria will still apply but the grouping will only be on Site.

I have tried that with no success. I'm still exploring other options.
