Grouping on chosen days of the week

Can someone help me with grouping.
I would like to be able to run a report for certain days of the week this year against last year.
In other words I would like to see lets say sales just for Saturdays in 2010 (not grouped together but individually so I can plot a graph) and then see how they compare against Saturdays last year.
I have searched the threads but cannot seem to find what I need.

Look-up the "Weekday" function in Access Help, that will give the day of the week, such as Saturday. Look-up the "Year" function in Access Help. Putting these two functions together should give you a listing of sales on a particular date for a particular period. This would need to be done "twice", once for the first period and again for the second period. Then you would need a set of textboxes to add/subtract the values.
