I have created a table to store my data entered from my form, in the form the user enters several footages and then the information is calculated in a query (I tried in the form and heard that a query is quicker?) - My question is: Is there a way to get the calculated data back to the table? Below is an example ...

Aerial Footage | U/G Footage | Total Footage | Total Miles
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
400 200 600 7.5

I need to get the 7.5 miles back to (total_miles) in my Table.

Thanks,

Why?

Why do you need the calculated data in the table? Surely you can calculate it each time you need it?

If you really must, run an update query on the table from the form. The Access help files should guide you on this.

Problem solved ...

Thank you for everyone that helped ... I privately emailed a couple of people on this issue as I was just confused on how exactly to handle the data in question.

You're absolutely right ... why? I'm calculating it and that worked but my problem was how to get a total calculation from that data and it comes down to sorting by project, then calculating the totals at that point.

Thanks again ...

I was just looking in the wrong direction -----> thanks for poingting me in the right one!
