Handling Absent Days for Staff in Report

Hi,

I have been trying to create a report that will total the sick days for individual staff for a particular month :

For example, John Smith was sick 3 days in January.

However, I am running into problems when the person has been sick in January and February - between 30/01/02 and 03/02/02. Access is not picking up the sick days in January.

The data is held in two separate fields -

Date_From and Date_To (date fields) and the number of days is calculated from these fields but when it comes to interpreting the dates for the Monthly report I cannot get it to work.

Could anyone suggest a solution to this problem?!

Monthly report

Sounds like something in your query is restricting the returned records to a particular month. If you are using the 'month' function someplace in your query, it won't really matter what date1 and date2 are because it will only pull records from the 'month'.

Give me some more detail about how the report is generated...I'll try to come up with a clearer answer.
