Handling no records gracefully?

I have a report which has five sub-reports. If a sub-report contains no data I would like to display a freindly message like "No completed records today." or something like that.

Unfortunately the On No Data event doesn't seem to trigger for sub-reports. Has anyone found a good way to handle this?

Thanks, my search wasn't getting me far before. I found a pretty good solution, although using HasData I could probably create a generic "no data" report and swap the subreport with a different one at generation time. This is all a guess though -- for now this works:

=IIf([rpt_CbByMapByType].Report.HasData," ","No completed chargebacks today")
