The Democrats made the calculated choice not to have Biden on the New Hampshire primary ballot. A somewhat arrogant decision with two themes: 1) that Biden had the Democratic nomination for president "locked" up so there would be no need for him to be on the ballot. 2) that the Democrats (Biden) would have the dazzling optics of the "first" primary in South Carolina as a blood debt to Clyburn (as king maker) who "fixed" the Democratic nomination process to have Biden crowned as the Democratic nominee in 2020.
Biden has another Democrat (Dean Phillips) running in the New Hampshire primary. Evidently Phillips didn't get the "memo" that another Democrat was not supposed to run/compete with Biden. Interesting, a Democrat acting independently. Even more hilarious, Phillips has actually called-out the Democratic party for claiming to be the defenders of democracy, but actually suppressing democracy. (Evidently Democrats have been "fixing" the presidential nomination process since at least 2016, but may have done so before then.)
So now the rush is on to get a win for Biden by having people writing his name on the primary ballot so that it won't look like Biden lost an election to some unknown person. But there is a problem with that. New Hampshire has an open primary, which means that Independents and Democrats can vote for either the Republican or Democratic nominee to be the presidential candidate. Speculation has been mounting that Democrats were encouraging people to vote for Nicky Haley to knee-cap Donald Trump so that Trump could not claim New Hampshire as a win. It would seem that that tactic is now backfiring since the Democratic party is now frantic for Biden to win the Democratic primary there. Seemingly, that would imply that Democrats who had considered voting for Haley would now have to commit to Biden so that Biden won't be outdone by Phillips. That would be a benefit to Trump.
Did the Democrats make a rare tactical blunder with the New Hampshire primary?

Late breaking news since posting. DeSanits has dropped out of the New Hampshire primary and endorsed Trump. That benefits Trump.
