I've placed an unbound text control in the header of a Split Form. I also placed a label in header of a split form.
But, neither is visible until I select a row on the split form datasheet.

The Visible property is set to yes and the fore color is white and the background is transparent.

I'm totally lost.
Am I missing something?
Any ideas??

Try to create a new split form with the same recordsource, and place an unbound control on it.

I created a new form and the same thing happens.
But, I did find that I need to set the Enabled property to the fields in the Detail section to true.
If the fields in the header a Disabled then the control does not appear unless I select a row.

I'm really lost now.

Post you database, (zip it) + a picture/screen shot which shows what you want.

Not sure what picture or screen shot you needed.
There is an unbound text field in the header which doesn't become visible unless you select a row in the datasheet.

Sorry, the only solution I can come up with is to Enabled property to the fields in the Detail section to true, and then lock fields instead.
But that solution did you find out yourself.

Obviously this isn't by design?
I've placed the form's caption to the date function.

Thanks for your time,
James
