Hi All,
Good Evening. I am Prabhakaran from India. Sorry for posting a question and not following further feedbacks to it. I had to laser both of my eyes before 2 weeks. Hope you understand. Let's come to current query:

Now I have grown up to the level where I can connect and program esp32 dev boards connecting to the PC and solve my small gadget requirements. Last week, I made an WiFi extender and it's working fine so far. I admit I still don't know how to solder two components together. So far, I have been making the gadgets whichever has an wifi or bluetooth interface. Anyways, let's come to the current issue. I am looking displays (screens) for my projects. Here in my city electronics market they have only displays either we have to solder or costly displays of mobiles and other higher electronics devices. I need small and the same time cheap screens. Today a thought occured to me: Why not smartwatch displays. It's both advanced, smaller and cheaper too. But when I tried in the internet there is huge scarcity of these in the internet. Why such so? Another thought also occured to me of buying cheap smartwatches and procure it's display. How feasible it is? There is a buy 1 get 1 offer for a watch costing only 125 indian rupee. Advices needed. Thank for reading hope you reply. Thanks.

With Hope,
Prabhakaran

Have you look at used laptop, tablet or phone screens. They would be cheap or free.

Yes I have. But they do repair but not selling the spares. All links connecting to china or wholesale... Can't afford. Thanks for the reply.

I hope all went well. I've had laser treatments before and will probably need them again eventually. Doesn't hurt but it is unnerving and it doesn't help to think that your vision has deteriorated to the extent that you needed the treatment in the first place.

As to finding some cheaper small displays... Some printers have about a 2-inch square or 2-inch x 2 1/2 inch status screen. If the printers go bad, particularly if the rollers or scanner elements go bad, the printers get trashed. I don't know if that fits your requirements and have no idea how easy they would be to obtain, but I DO know that when printers go bad enough, they get discarded. Since I have NO idea what the printer life cycle is in your part of the world, all I can offer is a GUESS of a direction to look. Cannibalize printer screens!
