No idea what you mean about colors.

doc,Open the spreadsheet.
On the ribbon, choose Home.
In the ribbon area titled Font, look for a little box with dashed lines. It is to the right of the cluster of options for Bold, Italic, Underscore.
Now drag & highlight the area you want to change.
Click the down-arrow next to the little grid-box. You'll get a drop-down list of pre-defined effects.
At the bottom of that list is a "More Borders". Select "More Borders".
You will get a complex dialog box that allows you to pick the position, texture, and thickness of the cells in your selected area.
(NOTE: It will not work correctly if you have not previously selected the area you want to change.)
After making your selection, click OK.
Yes I want the line between each even to be wider so it is easer to read where one medication ends and the next one starts. The more I google it i am coming to the idea it probably cant be done. I am probable imaging word and access capabilities. The first one I made I had all the fields spread all across the work sheet, but what I went to print it I realized some of the fields were printing on a second page. I may have to use access. I haven't been able to achieve what doc sent me yet,Glad Doc seems to understand what you want, as I'm befuddled. It seems almost as if you want automatic Borders. (?)

latest office 365This is what it looks like for Excel 2021.
1. Open Excel, find the grid outline tool.

2. Highlight the range to be underlined. (If you don't, you won't underline anything because this tool needs a selected range to work.)

3. Click the grid-tool down-arrow. Note "More Borders" at the bottom of the list.

That's how you get the heavy lines. I suspect I should have included one more line in the original selection since in this case the bottom line of the selection isn't a heavy line, just a normal one.
Hi Dick, I have a database I made originally for my husband 20 years ago and I've been adding to it ever since. It tracks lots of stuff. Give me a PM and we can chat later today if you like. I will add whatever you need and send it off to you. As you can see by the tabs it records lots of stuff and even produces a few reports that I bring to my doctors. It also handles multiple members of a household.VA wants a record of my sugar reading each day, and insulin intake
yes I would appreciate it.Hi Dick, I have a database I made originally for my husband 20 years ago and I've been adding to it ever since. It tracks lots of stuff. There are a couple of bugs I haven't gotten around to fixing though.

Try doing it when you have already inserted your cursor into a cell.Alt + Enter creates a new workbook for me?
Ah, OK I see now.Try doing it when you have already inserted your cursor into a cell.
This results in what he originally said he wanted which was a line break. It turns out he doesn't want a line break he wants borders
Thanks Pat none too soon. I have already downloaded itHi Dick,
I sent you a copy of the app this morning in a DM.
