Help! Date function not working

I am using the Date() function to filter records in a query,

I am currently using Access97, this function is working well on the Pentiums running win98 but will not run on the 486's running win95
(please dont tell me I need better equ. I know I do)

The error I am getting is ' Function isnt available in expressions [Cust Info].Call Back Date]=Date()

Can anyone help me please? Am Desperate

Thanks for your prompt reply, have printed the info you refered me to and shall read tonight.

Since posting this problem, I have reformated one 486 and loaded win98. This has cured the problem, so I feel the prob must lie somwhere in win95. I cant run 98 on these machines as they are to dam slow.

The problem is simply that the library files that Access uses are stored in different directories under different operating systems and also in some cases the versions are different. Access is not able to reconcile the problem by itself so you'll have to manually intervene as the link suggests. I'm still running Windows 95 so that is not the problem. The culpret is usually the DAO 3.6 .dll. If it does not exist on your system, you can download it from the Microsoft site or copy it from another PC (but you'll need to register it).
