Hello again, I'm sure many of you have helped me already, but I'm asking for your help again. Okay, I have two synchronized combo boxes on a form. When you choose something from the first one "cboDisease" a query runs and displays in the second combo box "cboSubDisease", all the subdiseases that fall under that main Disease category. Now it is also set up that if you do not choose a main Disease from cboDisease that you can just click on the cboSubDisease field and it will display a list of all the subdiseases regardless of their main disease. What I would like to happen is if someone chooses a subdisease before the main disease, a query would run which would then work the opposite of the first way and display the related main diseases in cboDisease. Does anybody have any ideas on how to accomplish this?
Your help is greatly appreciated!

Hi there,

I still have your .mdb on my computer so I'll have a look for you. Just so I understand what you are trying to do - in the combo box for you sub diseases you want to requery the combo box for your main disease to show the related main disease to the selected sub disease on tha basis that sub disease is selected first.

It may be to do with your underlying query for the combo box for the subDisease. You may also need to put an IIF statement in the criteria for the main disease combo box as well. I'll look at this for your but unfortunately I'm slightly busy for the next couple of days so if you do solve it then just post on here as I'll be looking in from time to time

Cheers
