:confused: Hi, new to the forum and not sure exactly which heading to post this problem under.

I have designed a simple database for storing our records in my workplace and am running a couple of mail merges from data returned by varying queries. The merge works fine apart from when inserting date fields. They are displayed in the American format as opose to how they appear in the query of the database.

I have checked the regional settings on my laptop and the language settings within Office and they are both correct. For clarification I am running Windows XP and Office 2003.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated as this is doing my head in now.

Mail Merge Problem

This is really more of a mail Merge issue. This is from MS Office help and works perfectly. If you look at the merge field and then edit the code there, by right clicking on the FIELD and selecting to edit the switch.
===========
Specifies the display of a date or time. This switch is called a "picture" switch because you use symbols to represent the format of the field result (field results: Text or graphics inserted in a document when Microsoft Word carries out a field's instructions. When you print the document or hide field codes, the field results replace the field codes.).

For example, the switch \@ "dddd, MMMM d, yyyy" in the field { DATE \@ "dddd, MMMM d, yyyy" } displays "Friday, November 24, 2002." Combine the following date and time instructions— day (d), month (M), and year (y); hours (h) and minutes (m)— to build a date-time picture. You can also include text, punctuation, and spaces.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
