Help needed with "no corresponding record on the "one" side" error

Well firstly, what exactly does it mean?
At the moment I've got a fairly simple form that gets information from two tables. The form displays information already there but when it comes to editing data via the form it displays that error message. So any ideas?
Edit: Another error is when I try to input data it says in the status bar 'join key of table '[table name]' not in recordset.

I would say that it means there is no parent record assigned to the child record you are trying to edit.

Your two tables are apparently joined in a one-to-many relationship. An example would be a to have a CompaniesTable and an EmployeesTable, which holds the workers of these companies.

One company can have many employees.

In order for this to work, you have to have the Ajax Company in the CompaniesTable before you can enter employees for the Ajax Company in the EmployeesTable. Apparently you're trying to do this backwards, by adding an employee for a company that doesn't exist in the CompaniesTable .
