I am a relative novice to Access so please bear with me.

What I am trying to do is export a figure (cell) in an Excel worksheet (OLE Object) to my form / table in my database (Access 97). It seems to me that there must be a way to copy this cell so that when the figure is changed in the spreadsheet, it will also change the figure in the form. Is this possible?

If so (don't want to push my luck but..) can this process be reversed. ie. Access to Excel Worksheet?

God bless anyone who can help me.

Create a link to the spreadsheet in Access

IMO

erm... how?!

On the database window view, right click, select link table, find the path to your spreadsheet and select it.

Remember to change the files of type to Excel

Thanks done this.

Now could you tell me how to copy a value to my existing table (the linked table just has #Num! where the values should be)
Sorry bout this

What you are seeing is a disagreement between the Excel format for that cell (probably a number with text format) and what Access understands it to be. In Access select the linked table then Properties. See what format the data type is listed as. Try reformatting your Excel spreadsheet to match.
