help! please

I have imported a spreadsheet from excel into access, and created another table as well. I have to set up a query taking data from both of them. That is no problem.

The created table lookups a field from the imported table and i have also set up autolookup. I enter all the details into the query in datasheet view, and save it, however whever i open the query again, in either view, all the information has gone. i have no idea what i am doing wrong, any guidance would really be wonderful,

Please post the SQL for your query. There's not enough detail here to enable anyone to help you. Are you attempting to enter new rows to your query after it's run?
