greetings everyone,

I am writing some text in the footer section of the field which I have grouped on : name_id footer.

When i preview the report, It shows a blank page after the detail section and then on the next page it shows the footer...

Can anyone help me please?

Thanks

Check the Force New Page property for the group footer and also for the detail section.

What should it be? Right now, both are set to none...Is that right?
Any more suggestions?

Actually, your problem here is that the footer section is just too large to fit on the same page, even with top and bottom the margins minimized.

You may want to try minimizing the top & bottom margins and then reducing the left and right margins to spread out the text so it does not take up so much vertical space. Something will have to be condensed if you want it all on one page, that is unless you plan to print on legal size.

Thanks for your help.

I actually dont want to fit it in one page. I dont mind if the text goes on to the next page. Is that possible in access? Or do I have to mailmerge in word? I actually dont knwo how to group data in word...do you know that??

Thanks again !

Are you saying that you would like the footer text to start on the first page right below the detail and roll over onto the 2nd page instead of it having its own page?

I played around with it for a while and can't figure out how to separate a footer between 2 pages. Hopefully one of the experts here can tell you if that's even possible. There has to be a way to do it. Sorry I can't help you more but I would like to know myself how to do this for future reference.
