Help With SQL

I have two tables in table one i have unique id, name and sales data, in table two i haveunique id, name and field.

I want to add a filed column to the first table which imports the field specified in the second table. Each customer has a unique id which it matches on.

Is this possible.

yes but why. If you can join the two tables (a primary key to foreign key relatenship) you can get it without storing it twice by just joining the tables. If you can't join the tables, you have problems either way.
