Howdy all,
I am VERY new at access, and as such I downloaded a db from microsoft (inventory control), and have been modifiying it for my self. (about the only change is going thru and changing "products" to read as "parts"..I have gove over it with a fine tooth comb and have everything working...except for one nagging little thing. one of the forms is called Purchase orders. you can get to this from from another form "parts" or "products" in the microsoft one. Every time I try to open this form I get "object doesn't support this property or method", but then it opens up anyway. on the Purchase orders form there is a sub-form "purchase orders sub form" and a "preview" button. I sub form works find, and you can push the "preview" button with no problem (it opens up a report (purchase order), but when you close it..you get the same message. does anyone know what is going on, or how I can fix this??
Another question if I may:
I would like to add to this db a couple of things, one is something like this.
I have several parts, I would like to open a form and have a "basic" configuration of parts showup, but then have the ability to change the parts making up the configurations. (i.e. lets say you want to build a pen, it is madeup of: 1: blank, 1 cap/clip, 1 band, 1 kit. You open up the form and see your basic pen and its price, you can then change the clip, blank, kit, or band or all of them and have an updated price.
After all of this you can then have this print out of a report showing your current configuration.
Is this possible? can I set it to do multiple items, and configurations?
again any help would be great!
THANK YOU!!
Doug
