Hide Cmd Window in Batch File

I wasn't sure where to ask this, but.

I run Gmail form a command button by calling the following batch file command:

start microsoft-edge:http://gmail.com

The only issue I have is the cmd window displays for 2 or 3 seconds before closing.
Is there away to prevent the cmd window from showing at all?

Forgot, I simply needed to paste the web address into Hyperlink Address.

Only issue, I can't seem to have the CursorOnHover to stay at default, it's always a Hyperlink Hand. I want only the pointer.
