hi,

i have a column of data that is linked to a drop down cell and few conditional formulas.

how can i hide it so nobody can ever see it besides me?
i've thought of setting the password in excel but its easily crackable, even if i change the font colour to white and hide the column - when the user runs the password cracker they can see my formulas and then see where i have hidden the data.

its a tough 1

Have you tried protecting the columns so the other users can not select the columns at all? You can apply a password to the protected columns...

You have encountered the problem of security with Excel. No matter how you approach it, someone can break the password. VBA would be one way to handle a better level of security for passwords, then you can lock the VBA Project.

BTW, the password is primarily to prevent casual users from making changes and inadvertent changes by experienced users.
