I want to write a database that is updated every 3 months but need to keep a record of previous entries..what is the best way to acheive this.

Not sure of your question. Database record dont just forget to turn up, once entered, they are there forever.

I mean when my next update is entered I need a history record of what was there before...for audit purposes
