This one might be very easy or very difficult, but here goes.
Currently we collect staff holiday requests with an access database. The table Leave Request stores the date of request, staff name, start date, end date, total days taken.
However the Rota is on Excel and looks very roughley like the quick example below -
01/04/2008 02/04/2008 03/04/2008
Team 1 A Other E E E
Team 1 B Other E E E
Team 2 C Other L L L
Team 2 D Other L L L
Team 3 E Other N N N
Team 3 F Other N N AL
E=Early L=Late N=Night AL - Leave
Sorry about the example! there is currently no link between the leave database and the Rota.
My question is, how would I go about exporting the database to excel in order that where leave is requested by an employee it appears as AL on the correct dates?
Would it be easier to bring the rota into Access somehow, please advise
Thanks for your help
