How can I insert link in Excetl to union query in Access

I need to insert the results of a somewhat complex query (6 UNIONs) into an Excel spreadsheet so that the spreadsheet can be refreshed.

When I attempt to insert the data query into Excel, only basic queries are displayed, not queries with UNION statements (having the linked ring symbol). Is there a way to put a UNION query into an Excel spreadsheet in a way that the data can be refreshed?
