Question How do I hire a programmer for a very small project?

How do I hire a programmer for a very small project? I run a small business and I've never hired anyone to help with anything computer related so I don't know where to start.

I sort of get Access and was able to do a very very small project (UNION ALL, 30 Excel spreadsheets, etc.) with help from this forum and Access for Dummies. Now I need to do more and I can't take 6 months off to learn Access better so I need to hire some help.

Well, a post to Craigslist, in your local area, could work (I've seen others post to Computer Gigs there and I've responded to a few myself at times).

Also, there is a Job or Projects Postings category on Utter Access.
