Hello,

I am new and don't know all the rules of forums, thus I thought I would clarify something within this forum before making another faux-pas!

I have found a thread written a year ago with no replies, but from someone who looks to have had the same problem that I am currently dealing with. Is it acceptable to reply within this thread asking the person if they ever found a solution to their problem? I have tried searching the web and have used forums but nothing I have found so far has worked.

Let me know,

Best Wishes,

Generally if a thread is that old it is better to just post your own question. While you can post a follow up asking if they had a solution, they might not respond. But if you do post the follow up sometimes the posts will be ignored by a lot of the members because they see a response and might not go there. If it is a new post by you, there will be 0 replies and you might have a greater chance of someone popping by for a look.
