How to add 6 characters at the right of a field to a new field

Just a novice, so sorry if this question seems lame.

I don't need to activate a count function, just get 6 characters at the right of one field to be added to a new field, so I can proceed with some corrections to the rest of the original field for a project later this morning.

Keep getting error in my UPDATE query (tried it several ways)

Field [Word_2]
Table: [Table_1]
Update to: [Table_1].[Word_1]("Right",6)

Any help much appreciated,
